About Us:
I'm a Girl who LOVES Pearls and PINK power tools. I have had to recruit my husband and two sons in order to give you a one stop shop for all of your "Handcrafted" custom framing and home decor needs! We like to think of our frames as "Furniture" on your walls! All of our pieces are made with solid wood; either recycled, new or a combination of both. We LOVE to incorporate Architectural Salvage/Remnants! We build each and every C&Co piece from scratch in our home based workshop and paint them all with our own techniques. We do NOT use "Chalk Paint"! No two pieces are exactly the same. Please see the "About" page to learn more about us! What's In A Name?
How did "Courtlyn & Company" get it's name? We took "Court" from "Courtois", our French last name that hardly anyone can pronounce and "Lyn" is both my Hubby and my middle name! "& Company" - We wanted this business to grow with us and anyone that participated in our successes is considered our "company". To date, that includes our children as they help with the creative processes, setting up at Craft shows, wrapping sold items for our customers to take their new goods home, and design input. Our two boys are both in the Talented Arts Program in school, and they definitely have design skill and opinions! My father taught us the basics and we've grown from there. He has also built some of the custom pieces we use for our show display and some pieces we sell too! My Mom gave me the "Antiquing Bug". She is also the BEST antique shopping buddy! The remainder of our families have been a huge part of our successes as well!! From salvaged wood donations, feeding us at our craft shows, shopping buddies and overall support! This has been an incredible journey thus far. Take the ride with us!!
